There are enormous consequences, both short-term and long-term when it comes to destruction of the environment, especially when it comes things that are not required for our survival. Knowing that doing this will result in such destruction, this project should be shelved for good. We need to protect and defend our precious places, nature, water resources, animal habitats, etc. Now and in the future, this should be foremost on our minds and wallets, both!
